WHAT YOU EAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

Believe it or not, certain foods are associated with increased wrinkling and other foods with less wrinkling.

Not terribly surprisingly, the foods associated with less wrinkling coincide almost perfectly with the Paleolithic diet (see my post Secrets of the Paleolithic Diet), and the foods associated with wrinkling are part of the Standard American Diet (S.A.D.).

How do we know this is true?

Well, in 2001, a group of researchers from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia published a study in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition that analyzed the diets of 453 people (aged 70 years and over from Australia, Greece and Sweden), determining the correlation between the consumption of certain types of foods and skin wrinkling (Skin Wrinkling: Can Food Make a Difference?, Journal of the American College of Nutrition, Vol. 20, No. 1, 71-80).
