WHAT ARE HIGH GLYCEMIC INDEX FOODS, ANYWAY?
These are foods that rapidly convert to sugar in the bloodstream, flooding the body with glucose.
What kinds of foods? Chiefly beans, grains, and roots, or substances derived from these foods (for a list of these foods, see my post Foods to Avoid Like the Plague). It should be noted that these foods were not available to our ancestors, when mankind was a hunter gatherer, and so are not part of our natural diet. (For justification of this statement, see my post Secrets of the Paleolithic Diet.)
